Book review : The Fault in Our Stars by John Green.

This post will be my first ever book review that I ever post. I hope you'll like it.

The Fault in Our Stars is the fourth novel by author John Green, published in January 2012. The title is inspired by a famous line from Shakespeare's play Julius Caesar (Act 1, scene 2). The nobleman Cassius says to Brutus, 'The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, / But in ourselves, that we are underlings.' This book is one of my favorite book of all time.I've read this book three times and I'm currently rereading it for the fourth times.

The author of this book has written four books before writing The Fault in Our Stars. Two of his previous books won Michael L. Printz Award. They are "An Abundance of Katherines" and "Looking for Alaska". John Green is also included in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People list.

This is the part when I'll try to summarize this book. I will try my best to not spoil the book xD
The story is revolved around Hazel Grace who has cancer. Her mom that hazel is depressed and she told her to get to this support group. That's when she met Augustus Waters and her story is completely rewritten.(*I would write more about the story, but I'll definitely spoil the book for you, so yeah, I think I'll keep it short)

The characters of this book are lovable even though some of them are a bit pretentious, but that's okay. This book has a lot of witty remark, yet another reason to love this book. This book is such a page turner, I can actually finish reading this book if I want to. This book also get deep sometimes, and this book is filled with profound quotes.

There are a lot of quotation from this book that I really love. This is some of them :
"You don't get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you." John Green, The Fault in Our Stars, page 313

"You are going to live a good and long life filled with great and terrible moment that you cannot even imagine yet!" John Green, The Fault in Our Stars, page 272

"My thoughts are stars I can't fathom into constellations." John Green, The Fault in Our Stars, page 311

This book is published by Dutton Books. ISBN 978-0-525-42600-4. The price of this book is $ 9.99

This book's movie adaptation will be released on June 6th 2014 in America. It will be released in Indonesia too on August 22nd 2014. Here's the trailer :
